This is an advanced CG animation course tailored to take your skills up to the professional level. The course utilizes the flexibility of 3ds Max as a platform and the sophistication of V-Ray as a plug-in, allowing you to explore your potential as a CG animator or design visualizer. You will see how V-Ray works collaborately with 3ds Max to speed up rendering and improve rendering quality. In the course you will learn how to:

  • Create animated scenes with 3ds Max
  • Work with V-Ray advanced lighting and materials
  • Use post-editing and rendering functions
By the end of the course you should have a solid understanding of 3D animation and design visualization with 3ds Max and V-Ray, and be able to use relevant tools to produce animated photorealistic images and scenes.

Certify your 3D skills with Autodesk 3ds Max Professional certification. The certification is not a requirement for course completion but we highly recommend you to get your skills professionally recognized.
Remark: The course fee does not include the certification exam.

After completing this course you may further develop your knowledge and skills in graphic design with the CEF reimbursable course Diploma in Graphic Design with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Course Prerequisites

Course participants should be at least 18 years old and have completed Form 5 or above. Previous knowledge of 3ds Max is essential. The course is also structured for those who have completed the course Diploma in 3D Animation Design with Autodesk 3ds Max.

Title of Award & Assessment Methods

Students will be assessed on a 3D animation project as part of the course. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a course certificate and an official attendance certificated issued by Autodesk

You will pay the course fee ($7,500) by default option. If you choose to pay by monthly installment, please use “Pay when visit Welkin” while checkout. CEF reimburse application (if any) will proceed once the course completed.

CG Animation & Visualization with 3ds Max is an advanced CG course tailored to take your skills up to the professional level. You will learn to create animated scenes with Autodesk 3ds Max, starting with the principles of animation and then proceeding to applying the skills specifically to 3ds Max.   1. Proceed with on-line registration or send the completed enrolment form (download) to us together with a cheque (made payable to Welkin Compuer Training) for the program fee.
  2. CEF applicants have to complete the CEF Application Form (download) and send it to us for certification. They will then send the form to The Office of the Continuing Education Fund, Units 07-11, 25/F., CDW Building, 388 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan, New Territories. Together with a photocopy of their HKID Card before course commencement. Applicants may also place their applications in the drop-in box on 12/F., Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices.
