The course teaches the industry’s newest, most comprehensive and professional Autodesk Fusion360, Meshmixer for digital design and production.

It will teach the common output method for Prototype in the course: Prepare the STL file for use in 3D printing.

Students will receive Autodesk Student Edition software.

Applicants should be computer-literate with a sound working knowledge of the Windows/Mac operating system. Design or production software experience is not necessary.

About Autodesk Fusion 360
3D printing is to design a CAD 3D model on the computer, and then the 3D printer superimposes the materials layer by layer to finally produce the product. But actually, do you know that this is just one of the methods? We will introduce and analyze you in this course. Will you be part of this new generation of the industrial revolution?

Our courses are not limited to teaching how to use 3D printers, but more importantly, how to implement the complete creative process from preparation to design to production, allowing students to truly solve design problems and put them into production.
The course uses Autodesk Fusion 360 and MeshMixer to design and produce 3D printed files. The software is easy to use and is very popular in the STEM industry. You can fully master the comprehensive techniques of production and printing.

This course will equip you with Fusion 360 for product design and development, and will also connect STEM’s learning concepts so that you can share this creative knowledge with your students.

Besides, many teachers also intend to teach STEM in schools. We welcome teachers to learn practical knowledge in this course, teach students to solve problems with STEM and understand scientific concepts, instead of printing them after downloading the model. About TinkerCAD, 123D and Fusion 360

Many educators often listen to TinkerCAD and Autodesk 123D. TinkerCAD is a basic and free tool for children or beginners, but its functionality is limited. Autodesk hopes that TinkerCAD users can connect to the more powerful Fusion 360 for more creative freedom and ability.

As for the 123D has been discontinued in 2017, the main reason is that the Fusion 360 is very simple but powerful, and it is a working software in a professional environment, so it is suitable as a successor to TinkerCAD, or the first tool for a teenager (secondary or even junior college) to learn STEM.
